1930s Art Deco bedside table lamps. Marble & Glass
Pair of ca. 1950s Art Deco bedside table lamps with glass conical lampshades in off white - light grey colour with clear hairpin stripes. Dark brown/ black stone (possibly marble) base and matt silver coloured metal neck and cap. Slender circular handles for adjusting direction of light.
Elegantly sombre and sophisticated style, these heavy and substantial lamps would make a wonderful gift, or a great investment in an original vintage item that is functional and beautiful.
DIMENSIONS: height of lamps: ca. 24cm (9.44''), base 16x10cm (6.29x4''). Weight of both: ca. 2.2kg
CONDITION: good used. Minor age appripriate signs of wear. There is a tiny chip on one of the glass shades and possibly minuscule 'flea bites' on the rims. minor surface scratches. tiny 2mm hairline crack on the decorative cap of one of the switches. Switches don't match.
ELECTRICS: The lamps work, rewired in the past with black cables, have European two-pin plugs. Take standard screw cap E27 Edison bulbs (40 watt or lower recommended). We have no manufacturer's specifications for these lamps but presume they are wired for European mains 210-240V. These lamps are sold 'as is' and should be checked by an electrician prior to use.
