An original Kaiser Idell desk lamp, the famous Model 6556 in black, designed by Alexander Dell, one of the pioneers of Bauhaus movement in 1930s. The neck of the lamp at the base tilts, and the lampshade rotates to allow for optimal direction of light. Steel and brass, lacquered black paint. Felted base.
This design is sought after and will make a great investment in a functional and beautiful design classic element of decor, a real statement piece for a contemporary minimalist office or an industrial style space.
Good vintage condition with minor signs of wear such as scratches on the base and lampshade as shown in the photos.
