Project Sarafan is based in Dublin, Ireland.


Most of our items are made of/contain vintage silk. Because silk doesn't withstand water treatment or agitation of drying well those items should be dry cleaned (and sometimes hand washed), as per listing description.

It is important to note that although the vintage fabrics have been carefully unstitched, dry cleaned and ironed, there could be minor creases and discoloration (darker or lighter permanent stains) on the silk which are hardly noticeable and can be reasonably tolerated in a vintage item. Cushion inserts are not provided.


Vintage items will usually have some signs of age (tarnished, rusted etc.) even if they are unused. We inspect and clean our items thoroughly except where signs of ageing give special charm and character to the item, and describe their condition as accurately as we can in the item description and photos.

VINTAGE LIGHTING: All Vintage lighting is sold "as is", is used, comes without any guarantees or warranties, and must be checked/ installed/ certified by a qualified electrician prior to use for your safety.

We can accept major credit card payments enabled by Stripe via Shopify.

We can also accept bank transfers in the Euro zone using BIC and IBAN through the European SEPA system (your bank will be able to help with this) subject to prior agreement.

IMPORT TAXES/CUSTOMS DUTIES: Many countries collect taxes, customs and duties on imported goods. They are not included in our prices, and are the responsibility of the buyers so please enquire about them from your customs office before purchasing.

REFUNDS. Please contact us immediately if you wish to return your order but no later than 3 calendar days after receipt. After receiving our approval for a return, any specific instructions and a return address, please ship the item back within 2 weeks from receiving it. The item must be unused and in original packaging. The buyer pays for return post. Refund of the price of the item will be issued 14 days after we receive the item back.

PACKAGING. We pack items carefully and securely for their safety in transit. We use appropriate recycled packaging when possible.

COMBINED SHIPPING. In certain instances (especially if you are purchasing more than 2 items) shipping cost needs to be adjusted (either up or down) post-sale.

If you need gift wrap, please let us know and we will be happy to arrange for a small fee. A short personal gift note can be included free of charge.
